How can I use the Med-Healths Symptom Check?
All you need is a smartphone or tablet and the Med-Healths app. It doesn’t matter whether you have private or statutory insurance, because our symptom check is free of charge for everyone. It also doesn’t matter whether you use Med-Healths for video doctor consultations or not. We recommend the symptom check to anyone who has suspicious symptoms and wants to be on the safe side.
What does the Med-Healths Symptom Check do for me?
The symptom check helps you to assess how best to behave with regard to the corona virus. It is particularly useful for typical cold symptoms such as fever or cough, as these symptoms occur both with Covid-19 and with flu-like infections.
If you carry out the check-up regularly once a day, the development of your symptoms will also be included in the evaluation. You will receive clear recommendations as to whether medical advice or treatment is necessary and who you can contact if you are likely to be infected with Covid-19.
Important: The symptom check is not a laboratory test! He can therefore not unequivocally prove or rule out an infection with the corona virus. In addition, it only refers to Covid-19 and not to other infectious diseases.
How does the Med-Healths Symptom Check work?
You can find the symptom check in the Med-Healths App. You can use it once a day to check your symptoms, whether you think you have contracted the coronavirus or not.
During the check-up, you will answer a few simple questions about how you are feeling and your medical history. Ideally, you have a clinical thermometer at hand, but you can also carry out the check without taking the temperature. Immediately after answering the questions, you will receive your personal recommendation on how to proceed.
And what if I have to go to the doctor?
Regardless of the symptom check, Med-Healths offers you the opportunity to speak to a doctor directly via video via the app. So you can get advice without leaving the house and sitting in a waiting room. This minimizes the risk of infection with the corona virus – your own and that of others.
If you have Covid-19 or other symptoms, you can have a doctor examine you free of charge during the Med-Healths video consultation. It doesn’t matter whether you have statutory or private insurance: your insurance company bears the costs.
